Midlothian

Midlothian is positioned in the east-central lowlands, which borders the City of Edinburgh, the Scottish Borders, and East Lothian. Coming to prominence in the Middle Ages, this Area has been prominent in Scotland since the end of the Roman occupation of Britain. Its traditional productions consisted of mining, agriculture and fishing- with a fall in fisheries production as the area now has no access to the sea. Midlothian features incredible natural beauty with many green hills and picturesque woodland. There is much to explore with a rich history, including Dalkeith County Park, with lots to do for the whole family. You can also step into the past with the Rosslyn Chapel, a 15th Century building that will transport you through the ages.
