Balnakeil Beach
Balnakeil Beach near Durness is a large beach with beautiful white sand and large dunes. Instagrammers looking for that perfect shot will never fail here, especially as the beach is known for its amazing sunsets!
West Sands Beach
You may be hearing Chariots of Fire playing in your head. The West Sands in St Andrews is after all, where the Oscar winning film shot the running scene on the beach to that iconic music.
Lunan Bay
This beautiful beach near Montrose in Angus is backed by sand dunes and framed by low cliffs. Lunan bay extends two miles south to Ethie Haven. The crumbling ruin of Red Castle stands on higher ground overlooking the Bay and dates from the 12th century.
Balmeadie Beach
Balmedie is miles of flat sandy beach with sand dunes and only 5 miles from the city of Aberdeen. You will witness some of the most beautiful sunrises here!
