About

There are 4 large double rooms and a single room available to let on a B&B basis. There is also a communal lounge and a large breakfast room. As the main island in the Outer Hebrides, the Isle of Lewis and Isle of Harris are a great place to start your unforgettable Hebridean adventure. Discover a dramatic island landscape, Gaelic culture and historic traditions and attractions. Travel to The Black Houses, or Callinish stones. Bury yourself in the trilogy The Lewis Man, The Black House & The Chess Men, made famous by the well known author Peter May to get a true hebridean sense of these fantastic Islands. Although it may sound like two separate islands, Lewis and Harris are actually two parts of the one island, with Stornoway on the east coast, the largest town of the island group. Catch the ferry to Lewis and Harris, and you'll soon be blown away by the ever-changing mix of terrains; lunar like rocky plateaus, mountains, moorlands, hills, meadows, rugged coastlines and breaktaking white sandy beaches all feature.

Once you've explored Lewis and Harris, there's plenty more adventures to have as you head south via causeway or ferry onto North & South Uist and the stunning Island of Barra. Kinloch House is great central position between Stornoway and Tarbert on the Hebridean Cycle Route to explore these wonderful Island s from local beaches, historical sites and beauty spots are accessible by bus and directly from the Kinloch House. Our Bed and Breakfast offers great scenic walks and wildlife such as Golden Eagles, sometimes seen from the house, and Sea Eagles, seen from time to time on Loch Erisort, which is easily accessible where you will also find several species of sea birds, such as Divers and Waders. Local fishing is excellent, with good trout lochs within walking distance.
