Herrislea House Hotel is only seven miles drive from the capital town Lerwick and the ancient capital of Scalloway. Situated in the hamlet of Veensgarth at the north end of the Tingwall valley and lochs. We are in Central Shetland in a ideal position for travelling to all parts in a day with a quick take off avoiding town traffic. We offer a relaxed and friendly atmosphere in a pleasant, mainly agricultural area. The proprietors ensure a very warm welcome and a flexible approach for guests, from late check-ins, to all-day access, early breakfasts & tailored dinners. We have 9 individually designed en suite rooms, each one with its own décor. All rooms are non-smoking, each has good wifi access and a mini bar with the usual TV, coffee/tea, telephone. With hair dryers & irons available. Facilities includes plenty free parking. We are fully licensed and have a comfortable Front Room lounge where you can enjoy comfy pre dinner drinks or have a daytime meeting. We have a small restaurant where we aim to offer complete home comfort. You can dine with us to experience quality local produce to suit all tastes from local lemon butter halibut & rib eye steaks to our handmade pizzas & local burgers
